For the past few years, the neighbors of Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay, and Country Club have seen a sharp increase in the number of petty and grand larcenies including car break-ins, tire/auto theft and other quality-of-life offenses. After much consideration, we banded together to start our “Community On Patrol”.
We want to be a visible presence in our neighborhood against the criminal element. Our goal is to utilize neighborhood volunteers around the clock. This is a not-for-profit venture, which we hope will garner enough in donations to supply us with working radios, apparel and eventually cars.
We are looking to serve primarily the Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay and Country Club areas. We hope that by being seen in our neighborhoods we will be an added visual deterrent against crime.
